On 5 and 6 March 2013 David Oliver and Mel van Niekerk attended a conference held in Southport looking at the implications of the revised Bathing Water Directive for regulators, local authorities and other stakeholder groups. Organised by Defra this provided an ideal forum for a wide varity of speakers to discuss the current scientific knowledge and the future of the Directive. David Oliver gave a presentation in which he provided an overview of the Delivering Healthy Water project and brought the audience up to date on the latest findings from the three international workshops. With over 100 people in attendance this was an ideal opportuinity to share the work of the Delivering Healthy Water project. The slides of David’s presentation can be found via this link.
